FCCLA Officers Attend Leadership Workshop
FCCLA Officers from Howells and Clarkson joined FCCLA members from eastern Nebraska at the FCCLA Fall Leadership Workshop held on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the New World Inn in Columbus. "Monopolize Your Leadership in FCCLA" was the theme for the event. The morning leadership session was led by Michael W. Smith, a past National FCCLA President from Kansas. Following lunch, officers could attend sessions focusing on Child Life, the state FCCLA Project, Membership, Partnerships, STAR Events, Media, FCCLA Image, Peer Teams, Becoming A State Officer, National Programs and Parliamentary Procedure. The afternoon adviser workshops were led by Jan Brandt, State FCCLA Adviser, Marla Prusa, adviser of the Howells-Clarkson FCCLA Chapter and Cheryl Meyer, chapter adviser at Milford. Attending the workshop were Howells Officers Marissa Litty, Carly Hegemann, Heather Kampschnieder, Jessica Barlting, Nicole Bayer, Derek Coufal and Ashley Bazata. Clarkson officers who attended were Beth Langdon, Tara Herling and Anthony Papousek.
