FCCLA Christmas Party Held December 1

The Howells-Clarkson FCCLA Chapter met on Tuesday, December 1 for their monthly meeting and Christmas Party. Howells President Carly Hegemann called the meeting to order following the opening ceremony. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Jessica Bartling, Howells Secretary. Old business included thanking members for their help with Hats On/Crazy Socks Day. December activities were discussed and members volunteered to help. The FCCLA Babysitting service on December 19 was discussed. FCCLA Scholarships are available and are due Jan. 25. State Peer Education Team applications are due Jan. 25, also. District STAR Events will be held on Friday, Jan. 15 at East Butler. The meeting was adjourned. A gift exchange was held. The chapter presented a group gift to Mrs. Prusa, adviser. Gifts were also sent to Chapter Parents Dave and Brenda Hegemann, Pat Eller, Brian and Joan Mastny, Rowe and Cheryl Langdon, Karen and Allyn Papousek and Joe and Carol Toman.
The meeting was adjourned. Door prizes were won by Tyler Brester, Kaitlyn Janata, Jarrod Bazata and Kourtney Janata. Lunch was provided by the Howells Sophomores. The next meeting will be January 11 at 8:00 p.m.
