FCCLA Week Observed Feb. 13-17

The Howells FCCLA members celebrated National FCCLA Week with activities during the week of February 13 - 17, 2012. “FCCLA…Raising the Bar” was this year's theme. The following activities were conducted by the Howells FCCLA members during the week:
On Monday, Feb. 13, treats were provided for the school staff and members decorated cookies for Valentine’s Sales after school/practice. Valentines were delivered to adopted grandparents in the community. Tuesday, Feb. 14 was Hush Day and members delivered roses, carnations and large decorated heart-shaped cookies for Valentine’s Sales 8th period. Jesse Faltys received the prize for being "irresistible" on Hush Day. On Wednesday, Feb. 15, members served rolls and juice to students and staff from 7:30-8:10 a.m.in the commons area.Thursday, Feb. 16 the chapter sponsored "Wear Orange Day". The chapter collected donations for Share Our Strength – No Kid Hungry, a national FCCLA outreach project. The chapter also gave out orange "Bobcat" pencils to students and staff. There was no school on Friday, Feb. 17.
Officers of the chapter from Howells are: President - Kaitlyn Janata, Vice President - Eric Coufal, Secretary - Trent Mastny, Treasurer - Mitch Belina, Publicity Chairperson - Brian Bayer, Historian - Ann Pospisil, Power of One Chairperson - Cody Sellhorst, and Recreation Chairperson - Jordan Brichacek. District 5 Co-President is Amber Burenheide.
Other members are: Seniors - Jarrod Bazata, Kira Sabey, Cera Cech; Juniors - Brady Brester, Nathan Bazata, Paige Indra, Haley Kampschnieder, Mitch Kampschnieder, Makenzie Polacek, Kyle Sayers; Sophomores - Trevor Blum, Breanne Brester, Emily Brichacek, Betty Cech, Amanda Evert, Luke Hegemann, Hannah Ridder, Devin Risch, Jill Rocheford, Tiffany Sabey; and Freshmen - Morgan Baumert, Abby Coday, Faith Molacek, Casey Smith, Seth Novak, Jesse Faltys, Alex Steffensmeier, Hunter Nathan, and Lee Vering.
