- Southeast Community College Scholarship online applications begin.  Go to - https://scc.scholarships.ngwebsolutions.com

- Samsung American Legion Scholarship - This scholarship is open to juniors who participated in and completed an American Legion Boys State or  American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program and be a direct descendant of a wartime veteran.  Deadline for applying is upon arrival at Boys or Girls State program.

- American Legion Eagle Scout of the Year Scholarship - The American Legion will award an Eagle Scout a scholarship who best  meets the qualifications outlined in the Nomination Application. 

- Jim Hurlbert Memorial Baseball - Eligibility is open to Nebraska American Legion Baseball players in their last year of Legion Baseball eligibility and or graduating senior.

- American Legion Baseball Player of the Year - Each Department (State) Baseball Committee may select a player from their Department to receive this scholarship.

- Edgar J. Boschult Memorial - Provides annual scholarships to full-time students in the University of Nebraska system who are enrolled in the Army, Air Force and Naval Science courses at the University.

- Nebraska State College System Advantage - This program guarantees first-time students who qualify for a Pell Grant will pay no tuition at Wayne State College.  The student must be a resident of Nebraska, a federal Pell Grant recipient, a new first-time freshman and enrolled in at least 12 on-campus credit hours per semester.  There is no separate application.  Eligible students are identified automatically through the  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

- University's Tuition Assistance Program "Collegbound Nebraska" - Similar to the above Nebraska State College System Advantage program.  More information can be found at www.collegeboundnebraska.com

  - Heartland Latino Leadership Conference & Expo Scholarship - Applicants must be of Latino/Hispanic heritage and pursuing a higher education.  Scholarship deadline is Friday, October 1, 2009.

- Ak-Sar-Ben/Horatio Alger Association, Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation and TeamMates Scholarship - Applicant must be a resident of Nebraska, a full time high school student with intent to pursue a bachelor's degree (students may start their studies at a two -year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution), have critical financial need, be involved in co-curricular and community activities and have a minimum grade point average of 2.0.  Deadline for applying is Friday, October 30, 2009.

- Elks National Foundation 2010 Most Valuable Student Scholarship - Open to all students.  Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need.  Complete contest details are available at www.elks.org/enf/scholars  Deadline for applying is Monday, November 2, 2009.  (Applications MUST be to Mr. Goff by Monday, November 2nd).

- Jeffery S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management Honors Program - This is a selective honors program which provides an educational balanced in computer science and management while developing professional skills in leadership, communication and collaboration.  Additional information can be found at http://raikes.unl.edu  Application deadline is Sunday, November 15, 2009.

- 2010 American Civil Liberties Union Youth Activist - Applicants must demonstrate a strong passion for civil liberties, be planning on attending an accredited college or university as a full-time student, attained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.  Applicants must be nominated by a local ACLU affiliate and submit his/her application to the ACLU's national office.  A representative from the ACLU Nebraska Foundation must speak with the student to determine if the student qualifies for consideration.  The area Youth Scholarship Coordinator is Megan  Moslander.  She may be contacted at (402) 476-8091 or mmoslander@aclunebraska.org for details about the scholarship and interview.  The deadline for applying is Monday, November 30, 2009.

- Governor's Opportunity Award - This scholarship is for half-tuition over four years.  A student must have between a 21 and 24 on the ACT to apply.  A complete  list of requirements can be found at www.nscs.edu under the scholarship tab.  The deadline for applying is Friday, December 1, 2009.

- Wayne State College Scholarships - Wayne State College priority deadline for applying for scholarships is December 1, 2009.  Separate applications are needed for the Board of Trustees, Governor's Opportunity Award, and the Rural Health Opportunities Program.  

- Wayne State's RHOP - This scholarship is for students who plan to enter the following programs; Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Radiolography, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Dental Hygiene and Clinical Laboratory Science.  There is no cutoff ACT score.  Other factors in the selection process are academic preparation and potential of the student, rural background, a commitment to return to rural areas to practice and a biography of why the student wants to be in the program.  Applications are available in the guidance office or online at http://www.wsc.edu/scholls/nss/rhop  Deadline for applying is Friday, December 1, 200

- Omaha World Herald/Kearney Hub Scholarship - Students who qualify for this scholarship have a minimum ACT of 28 and rank in the top 10% of their class.  Deadline for applying is Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

- Peter Kiewit Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program - Applicants must be a high school senior, a Nebraska resident, have current ACT scores, be ranked in the top 20% of their high school senior class and demonstrate financial need. Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

- Nebraska Educational Office Professionals Association Student Scholarship - Applicant must have completed two or more business education courses from the following: computer classes, keyboarding, typing, shorthand, accounting, office practices and procedures, and /or bookkeeping.  The application must include: a one page biographical sketch on "Why I Am Choosing an Office-Related Career or Vocation, three letters of recommendation: one from a principal, counselor or other administrator which describes the student's character, personality, initiative, and home background.  One letter from a business education teacher and one from a non-family member, non-educational office professional member.  An official high school transcript.  Deadline for applying is Friday, January 15, 2010.  The application may be found at http://neopa.unl.edu

- Board of Trustees Scholarship - This scholarship is for full-tuition over four years.  To be eligible a student must have a score of 25 or above on the ACT.  A complete listing of requirements can be found at www.nscs.edu under the scholarship tab.  The deadline for applying is Friday, January 15, 2010.

- Davis-Chambers Freshman Scholarship - Applicant must have a 3.0 high school GPA, complete a scholarship application (found at www.nscs.edu under the scholarship tab) and submit the required essay, letter or recommendation, submit completed FAFSA, enroll in Chadron, Wayne or Peru.  Deadline for applying is Friday, January 15, 2010.

- National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship - This scholarship is open to anyone with multiple sclerosis or anyone who is a child of someone with Multiple Sclerosis who will be attending an accredited post secondary school for the first time.  Applications are available online at www.nationalmssociety.org/scholarship.  The deadline for applying is Friday, January 15, 2010.

- Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association Scholarship - Applicants must be planning to become teachers or other related occupations, such as counselors or media specialists.  Only one female and one male application per school.  Scholarship applications are available at www.nrcsa.net  The deadline for applying is Friday, January 22, 2010.

- Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association 2010 Gary Fisher Fine Arts Scholarship - This scholarship is open to students who excel in fine arts and are planning to major in fine arts in college.  Only one female and one male application per school.  Scholarship applications are available at www.nrcsa.net  The deadline for applying is Friday, January 22, 2010

- Norma Ross Walter Scholarship - Applicants must be prospective first year college women students who plan to continue their education as English majors.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  application deadline is Friday, January 29, 2010.

- Platte Valley Cattleman Scholarship - The applicant must live in Platte, Butler, Colfax, or Polk Counties, and purse a course of study in Agriculture.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Friday, January 29, 2010.

- Nebraska Machinery Company (NMC) Diesel Technology Sponsorship and Caterpillar Scholarship - Students must be attending Central Community College at Hastings, Nebraska. Deadline for applying is Saturday, January 30, 2010. 

- Bill's Food Mart Scholarship - This scholarship is open to all seniors EXCEPT all Bill's Food Mart employees and their immediate families.  Seniors MUST register at Bill's Food Mart in person by Saturday, January 30, 2010.

- Northeast Community College's Board of Governors Scholarship - This scholarship will pay full tuition for four semesters to attend NECC.  The candidate will have a 25 or higher composite ACT score or equivalent ASSET or COMPASS scores in all subjects.  The winning applicant will be chosen by the college scholarship selection committee.  Applications can be accessed on-line at www.northeast.edu.  From the "Quick Links" menu, select "Financial Aid/Scholarships."  Select the "On-line Scholarship Application"link on the left-hand side of the screen, and follow the directions.  The deadline for applying is Monday, February 1, 2010.

- Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship - Applicants must plan to attend a four year engineering program that is accredited by ABET-EAC.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Monday, February 1, 2010.

- Central Community College's ACT Advantage Scholarship - Formerly known at the Early Advantage Scholarship is open to prospective students that have submitted their ACT scores to CCC and scored above 21.  Students must also have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.  Applications are sent directly to student's home address.  The deadline is Monday, February 1, 2010.

- KFC Colonel's Scholars - This scholarship is open to graduating seniors who have at GPA of 2.75 or higher, must start college no later than 9/30/10 and plan to pursue a bachelor's degree.  Students may complete their application online at www.kfcscholars.org The online application will be available from December 1, 2009 through February 10, 2010.

- AXA Achievement Scholarship - Applicant must be active in the community, led a project that benefited others and has over come personal challenges.  Applications are available at www.axa-achievement.com.  Application deadline is Tuesday, February 15, 2010.

- Best Buy Scholarship - Applicants should have solid grades, been involved in volunteer community service or work experience.  Applications are available online at www.bestbuy.com/scholarships or www.at15.com  The date range for applying is from Monday, December 28, 2009 to Monday, February 15, 2010.

- Susan G. Komen for the Cure Scholarship - Applicant must have lost a parent to breast cancer.  Must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher.  Applications are available online at www.komen.org/scholarship  Deadline for applying is Monday, February 15, 2010.

- Southeast Community College Scholarships - Students must complete the online application process between December 1, 2009 - February 22, 2010.  A copy of the student's current high school transcript must be mailed after the application is completed and must include class rank and a cumulative GPA.

- Susan T. Buffett Scholarship - Applicant must be a Nebraska resident, have at least a 2.5 GPA and fill out the FAFSA.  For application information, visit www.buffettscholarships.org  Application deadline is Monday, March 1, 2010.

- National American Legion Auxiliary's Girl Scout Achievement Awards - Applicants must have earned the Girl Scout Gold award and be a high school junior or senior, be actively involved in a religious institution and have received the appropriate religious emblem at the Cadet of Senior Scout level, demonstrated practical citizenship in the religious institution, school, Girl Scouting and community, submit one letter of recommendation and a 500 word essay describing their Gold Award project.  Deadline for applications is Monday, March 1, 2010.

- Maynard Jensen American Legion Memorial - Applicant must be sons or daughters, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, adopted or stepchildren of members of The American Legion, Department of Nebraska, or POW, MIA, KIA or any veteran that was a current American Legion member at the time of death. Deadline for applying is March 1, 2010.

- Central Community College's Scholarships - The scholarship form is available for completion on-line at www.cccneb.edu  The deadline for applying is Monday, March 1, 2010. 

- CCC's Ken Morrison Health Occupations Scholarship - Applicants must be entering one of the following programs; Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Medical Laboratory, Medical Assisting and Nursing.  Scholarship application is available online at www.cccneb.edu  Application deadline is Monday, March 1, 2010.

- Nebraska Press Association Foundation Scholarship - Applicants must be planning to enroll in post-secondary educational programs in Nebraska-based colleges and universities leading to careers in print journalism.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Monday, March 1, 2010.

- Chet Linder Memorial Scholarship - The applicant must demonstrate scholastic application and intend to continue his/her education.  Consideration will include participation and leadership in school and community activities and educational goals.  Applicants should intend to major in business or a business-related field.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Monday, March 1, 2010.

- Virginia and Tom Pierce Memorial Scholarship - Applicants must be a graduating senior with a permanent physical disability or a graduating senior who has a parent(s) with a permanent physical disability.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Monday, March 1, 2010.

- St. Francis Memorial Hospital Foundation Scholarship - This scholarship is open to students who plan to pursue a health related career.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Friday, March 5, 2010.

- Eugene L. Sucha, M.D. Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship will be awarded to students demonstrating high academic achievement, community service, leadership, religious participation and demonstration of high personal character.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Friday, March 5, 2010.

- BBB's Scott Mecham Student of Integrity Award - This scholarship is open to juniors and seniors who exemplify integrity and ethics.  The scholarship honor character and commitment to honesty, integrity and accountability.  Applications are available online at http://nebraska.bbb.org/studentaward/  The deadline for applying is Friday, March 5, 2010.

- Salvation Army's D.J. Hero Award - The applicant must be someone who quietly carries out good deeds and has the respect of their peers.  A person who gives 100% when no one is looking.  Students who have character and quality of service above self.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Monday, March 8, 2010.

- Nebraska Aviation Trades Association - Applicants must write an essay on "How Agricultural Aviation Helps Farmers & Consumers".  The essay must be doubled spaced.  Beside the essay other factors will be scholastic achievement and leadership.  An official high school transcript must be included with application.  Deadline for applying is March 15, 2010.  Application must be received by March 15th.

- Balanced Man Scholarship of Sigma Phi Epsilon - This scholarship is open to a high school male planning on attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  The applicant must show a strong commitment to personal and academic development.  The application and scholarship in no way entails membership in Sigma Phi Epsilon.  Applications are due Monday, March 15, 2010.

- Kohl's Cares for Kids Scholarship - This scholarship is open to students who are doing or have done great work to benefit their community.  Such as organizing a local food drive, help a young child learn to read or cleaning up a community park.  Deadline for applying is Monday, March 15, 2010.  Nominations may be made at www.kohlskids.com 

-Omaha Archdiocesan Council of The National Council of Catholic Women - This scholarship is open to all catholic women.  Each applicant must have all materials (scholarship form, grade transcripts & parish priest's evaluations) mailed by Friday, March 15, 2010.  Applications are available in the guidance office.

- Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation Community College Scholarship - This scholarship is open to students planning on attending a community college.  Applications are available online at www.aksarben.org  Deadline for applying is Monday, March 15, 2010.

- Columbus Area Human Resources Association Scholarship - Applicants must be employed or have a family member who is employed with a company that is a member of the Columbus Area Human Resource Association.  Applicant must be majoring in a Business or Human Resource program of study.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Friday, March 19, 2010.   

- Nebraska Coaches Association Scholarship - Applicant must be in the upper 25% of the senior class, be a 2 year participant in 2 sports, must have earned varsity letters in 2 sports and have an ACT minimum score of 24. Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Friday, March 26, 2010.

- Bonnie Watson-Peterson Scholarship - Applicant must be a student with a disability and planning to major in the field of rehabilitation or a related area.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

- USBank - This scholarship is available to high school seniors and college undergraduates.  Apply online at www.usbank.com/studentloans.  The deadline for applying is Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

- Nebraska Insurance Federation and Nebraska Actuaries Club Scholarship - Applicants must be entering a college or university as a freshman to be eligible for the $1,000.00 scholarship and the Nebraska University system to be eligible for the $4,000.00 scholarship.  The applicants must major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics with an interest in pursuing an actuarial career.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Wednesday March 31, 2010.

- Columbus United Federal Credit Union Scholarship - Applicant must be a member with a primary account in good standing with Columbus United Federal Credit Union.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

- Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation Ike Friedman Scholarship - This scholarship is open to students who have shown leadership and are attending a four year college.  Applications are available online at www.aksarben.org  Deadline for applying is Monday, March 31, 2010.

- Northeast CC's McIntosh Davis/Chambers Scholarship - Applicant must be a student of plan to attend Northeast CC, have knowledge or experience living or working in a diverse community or organization, be an academically promising student active in school and/or community, plan to transfer to a four-year public Nebraska college or university after graduating from NECC, be a U.S. citizen and a Nebraska resident and have financial need.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Thursday, April 1, 2010.

- Lueshen's Birders Scholarship - Applicants should be planning on entering a biological field of study with special emphasis on wildlife and environmental conservation.   Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Thursday, April 1, 2010.

- Johnny Baxter Carriage House Foundation Scholarship - Applicants must be intending to enroll in one of Nebraska's community colleges to study in an automotive related field.  Scholarships are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Friday, April 2, 2010.

- Omaha Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professional Scholarship - Applicants must be planning on going into Information Technology related fields.  Applications are available online at www.aitpomaha.org  Deadline for applying is Sunday, April 4, 2010.

- Upsilon Chapter Delta Kappa Gamma Society Scholarship - This scholarship is open to any young woman who is a senior and planning to pursue a career in education.  The application deadline is Saturday, April 10, 2010.

- Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa Car Council's Paul High Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is open to anyone who is planning on enrolling or is currently enrolled in an automotive technology program at an accredited trade school, community college, college or university.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is April 15, 2010.

- Gus Swanson Memorial Communications Scholarship - This scholarship is available for students who plan to enroll in a Nebraska college or university and pursue a degree in one of the following fields:  advertising, marketing, mass communications, communications studies, public relations, journalism or graphic design/desktop publishing. Applications are available in the guidance office or online at www.swansonrussell.com  Application deadline is Thursday, April 15, 2010.

- James M. Cox Foundation Scholarship - Applicants must complete the application, submit a completed college funding estimator and results for each college choice (funding estimator can be found at www.educationquest.org), attach a copy of the students' SAR(student aid report which is generated by completing the FAFSA), high school transcript, two letters of recommendation, an educational essay of no more than one page relating to the impact of higher education on the student's permanent career objectives. Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Thursday, April 15, 2010.

- Michael S. Turner Scholarship Program - Applicants must attend UN-L's College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.  One scholarship will be given to an incoming student.  One scholarship will be given to a student attending Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture at Curtis.  Student must have a major of business/management or ag production systems with business option.  One scholarship to an upper class student with a major or minor in agribusiness.  Further information is available at www.nebr.coop Deadline for applying is Thursday, April 15, 2010.

- Cuming County Pork Producers Scholarship - The Cuming County Pork Producers will award one scholarship to a Cuming County student attending a school outside Cuming County.  The student must be pursuing a two or four year degree.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Thursday, April 15, 2010.

- Cuming County Feeders Association Scholarship - The Cuming County Feeders Association will award two scholarships to  Cuming County students attending a school outside Cuming County.  The student must be pursuing a two or four year degree with an agricultural major.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Thursday, April 15, 2010.

- Platte County Farm Bureau - Applicants must be a resident of Platte County or must be a member of a Platte County Farm Bureau Family. Preference will be given to Production Agriculture, but consideration will be given to each application.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline for applying is Thursday, April 15, 2010.

- Balanced Man Scholarship of Sigma Phi Epsilon - This scholarship is open to a high school male planning on attending the University of Nebraska-Kearney.  The applicant must show a strong commitment to personal and academic development.  The application and scholarship in no way entails membership in Sigma Phi Epsilon.  Applications are due Friday, April 30, 2010.

- Faith Regional Volunteer Services Scholarship - Applicants must be entering college intending to become a registered nurse.  (Students in diploma schools and bachelor degree programs are eligible)  Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline for applying is Saturday, May 1, 2010.
